Toronto FC should 'feel good' after 1st leg rebound vs. Montreal - Vanney

Toronto FC coach Greg Vanney says his side should feel good about their response to going three goals down against the Montreal Impact in Tuesday's Eastern Conference final first leg.

Vanney's bunch fell behind 3-0 after 53 minutes, thanks to goals from Dominic Oduro, Matteo Mancosu and Ambroise Oyongo but rallied back behind Jozy Altidore and Michael Bradley to take two valuable away goals back to Toronto for the second leg.

And the coach expressed his satisfaction with the sudden change of fortunes.

"The two away goals are big," Vanney said after the match. "There's a lot of soccer still to be played, but our guys should feel good about how they got themselves back into this.

"It wasn't looking good there for a while. We made some adjustments and started winning balls in better areas and finished off some chances. No one's doing any congratulating yet because there's a big game left."

Toronto's BMO Field will be boosted with extra seats and a sellout of over 30,000 is expected for the return leg. Vanney hopes the extra noise will provide an advantage for his team.

"The next game is at our place and that's the only thing we'll tie our hat to," Vanney said. "We love our fans and it'll be more full than it's ever been and the noise will be in our favor this time."
