Toronto FC stars Michael Bradley and Will Johnson out for six weeks

Toronto FC will be without midfielders Michael Bradley and Will Johnson for six weeks, the club has confirmed.

A statement from Toronto revealed that "Bradley has been diagnosed with a knee sprain and Johnson with a tibial plateau fracture."

Bradley was injured while playing for the United States against Colombia in last weekend's third-place defeat in the 2016 Copa America Centenario.

Johnson was hurt scoring late into Wednesday night's Canadian Championship final against the Vancouver Whitecaps.

Major League Soccer's third-highest paid player, Bradley has started 12 matches and picked up one assist this season, while Johnson has three goals and two assists in 18 matches in all competitions.

Toronto FC hosts Seattle at BMO Field on Saturday night with goalkeeper Clint Irwin already sidelined for the next six weeks with a quadriceps strain.

Striker Jozy Altidore has also been sidelined with a hamstring injury since May, though he should be able to return in two weeks.
