Toronto and Montreal draw 1-1

Justin Mapp scored in the 70th minute for the Montreal Impact to salvage a 1-1 draw with Toronto FC on Wednesday in the first leg of the Canadian Championship.

Mapp dribbled through Toronto's back line and beat a lunging Steven Caldwell to fire a shot past goalkeeper Joe Bendik. It was the Impact's only shot on goal all night.

Doneil Henry opened the scoring with a header for Toronto in the 20th minute.

The second leg will be played next week in Montreal. The winner will go on to represent Canada in the 24-team CONCACAF Champions League that kicks off in August.
