Andrea Belotti's new Torino contract has €100m buyout clause

Italy forward Andrea Belotti has extended his contract with Torino until 2021 and agreed to a €100 million ($106m) buyout clause.

Torino president Urbano Cairo made the announcement at an award ceremony on Sunday, shortly after the Turin club lost 2-0 at Sampdoria.

Cairo says the escape clause would only have to be paid if Belotti transfers to a foreign club.

Belotti, who is among the Serie A scoring leaders with 10 goals this season, has been linked to a possible transfer to Manchester United.

The 22-year-old Belotti received his first call up to Italy's squad in August and has since taken over as the starting centre-forward. He has scored three goals in five matches with the national team.
