TNS dreams end in Poland
The New Saints failed to progress to the third qualifying round of the Champions League as Legia Warsaw closed out a 4-1 aggregate win with a 1-0 victory in Poland.
The Welsh side had to score three goals at the Pepsi Arena to stand any chance of booking a meeting against Norwegian club Molde - managed by former Manchester United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - after losing the first leg 3-1 in Oswestry.
TNS would hold their own through the first half in a partisan atmosphere but, in failing to respond to Georgian striker Vladimir Dvashvili's bundled goal in the 53rd minute, Carl Darlington's men suffered a 1-0 defeat on the night.
