Late Edzai Kasinauyo leaves glistening Zimbabwe legacy

The late Edzai Kasinauyo was in the crowd for Zimbabwe's 2019 Nations Cup qualifier at home to Liberia on Sunday before leaving for South Africa apparently to seek medical treatment.

It was the last time Kasinauyo watched the team he loved and once starred for, as the ex-international passed away at Johannesburg's Donald Gordon Medical Centre on Friday, plunging the nation's footballing community into mourning. Former Warriors winger Alois Bunjira says he saw his long-time friend looking jovial...

Denver Mukamba of Jomo Cosmos celebrates his goal during the 2016 Netbank Cup last 32 game between Jomo Cosmos and AmaZulu at the Olen Park Stadium in Pochestroom, South Africa on March 08, 2016

Dynamos consolidated their resurgence following a slow start to their Zimbabwe Premier League campaign with a thrilling 3-2 win over Ngezi Platinum in Harare on Thursday evening.

Midfielder Denver Mukamba struck with a neat first-time effort to put Dynamos ahead on the half-hour mark, but it was going to take a lot more effort to subdue a Ngezi side who have been setting the pace in the title race.

Tonderai Ndiraya's team had been dislodged from the league summit by Black Rhinos 24 hours earlier...

Ghana returned to goalscoring form as they opened their 2019 African Nations Cup Group F qualification campaign on Sunday with a crushing 5-0 home success over Ethiopia in Kumasi.

Debutant Raphael Dwamena, who played this past season in the Swiss second-tier with FC Zurich, bagged a second half brace after veteran forward Asamoah Gyan had given the home side the lead with his 50th national team goal.

The Black Stars' other strikes came from Turkey-based defender John Boye and 21-year-old Ebenezer...

Bosso win; Ngezi, FC Platinum held

Rising star Prince Dube marked his call-up to the Zimbabwe senior team with a splendid display on Sunday, to fire Highlanders to a comfortable 2-0 win over visiting Triangle in the Zimbabwe Premier League.

The 20-year-old needed just nine minutes to open the scoring, his fifth goal of the campaign, after controlling a pass from Rahman Kutsanzira and then sprinting past his marker to unleash a delightful strike. Bosso could have doubled the lead moments later after Dube nicely set up Rodrick Mutuma,...

Christian Epoupa stunner earns DeMbare's Lloyd Mutasa breathing space

Under-fire Dynamos coach Lloyd Mutasa earned himself some desperately needed breathing space after his side's 1-0 win over Harare City on matchday 10 in the Zimbabwe Premier League on Thursday.

Cameroon import Christian Epoupa struck a stunning volley on 35 minutes as Dynamos registered only a third win in eight matches to move away from the relegation zone and relieve some pressure off beleaguered coach Mutasa.

City defenders struggled to deal with a Dynamos corner kick and the ball fell to Epoupa...
