South American World Cup qualifying - how Uruguay can make it to Russia
The final rounds of CONMEBOL qualifying for the 2018 World Cup take place on Oct. 5 and Oct. 10.
The top four teams qualify directly with the fifth facing New Zealand for a place in the finals.
2. Uruguay, 27 points (h-Venezuela, a-Bolivia)
With a three-point advantage over Argentina in fifth and fixtures against the bottom two teams, it would take some collapse for Uruguay to fail to advance.
