Ali Mabkhout interested in transfer to La Liga or Premier League

Ali Mabkhout is a United Arab Emirates international.

United Arab Emirates striker Ali Mabkhout has told Sport360 he has recently spoken to two La Liga clubs about a possible transfer.

Mabkhout, who is currently contracted to Al Jazira where he has netted 16 goals this season, has been tipped for a summer move, with the Premier League mooted as a potential destination.

The forward caught the eye during the 2015 AFC Asian Cup when he was the competition's top scorer with five goals.

Asian Football Confederation President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa admits that United Arab Emirates have a huge task in front of them to match the success of January's AFC Asian Cup when they host the 2019 edition.
