SC Villa, Vipers SC coaches suspended for four matches

The Uganda Football Association's Competitions Disciplinary Panel has handed four-match suspensions to the head coaches of two of the league's biggest clubs, Wasswa Bbosa of Sports Club Villa and Vipers Sports Club's Miguel Jorge Da Costa.

SC Villa currently lead the Uganda Premier League log with 49 points, while Vipers are second with 46 points, but with a game in hand.

In a communique signed by the chairman of the panel, Deo Mutabazi, both coaches have been accused of confronting and attacking...

Vipers title dream fuelled by SC Villa triumph - Da Costa

Vipers Sports Club coach Miguel Da Costa believes his team can go onto claim the Uganda Premier League title after beating rivals SC Villa on Tuesday.

In-form Dan Sserunkuma scored the only goal of the game in the title showdown to take Vipers to 46 points, three behind SC Villa who have played a game more.

Vipers have a goal difference of +15 compared to Villa's +16, but coach Da Costa believes they'll have the edge as the title race comes down to the wire.

"As a coach I am happy my title ambitions...

KCCA FC's Mike Mutebi tips rivals SC Villa for league title

Mike Mutebi believes that arch-rivals Sports Club Villa have an advantage over his KCCA FC side as the Uganda Premier League enters its final stretch over the coming weeks.

Defending champions KCCA FC are currently second with 44 points after 22 points, five behind leaders SC Villa, who have played a game more.

"SC Villa have a slight advantage over us because they are in the lead on the table and they are winning games while we are struggling to win games," Mutebi told KweséESPN on Friday....

Wonderkid Allan Okello nets brace to help KCCA FC close gap on SC Villa

Wonderkid Allan Okello netted a fine brace on Monday as KCCA FC beat 10-man UPBF 2-0 in a Uganda Premier League encounter at their Philip Omondi Stadium on Monday as they closed the gap on SC Villa.

18-year old Okello, who was the man of the match when Uganda's Under-20 side humbled South Sudan 5-1 a week ago in an U-20 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, scored two goals in the last nine minutes of the match.

The win takes the defending champions up to 43 points, three behind leaders SC Villa who...

Desabre demands attacking improvement from Uganda

Uganda head coach Sebastian Desabre has said his players must improve in the final third after Tuesday's goalless draw with Malawi.

The Cranes have struggled to find the net since the Frenchman took over at the end of December, scoring one in three at the African Nations Championship.

They did net three times in a 3-1 victory over lowly Sao Tome e Principe - 179th in the world - last week, but were again impotent against Malawi on Tuesday.

"Although we create many scoring chances, we still need...
