Thai stars Chanathip and Sarach keen on Malaysia Super League move

Sarach and Chanathip are two of Thailand's most accomplished players for club and country.

Thailand's top footballers Chanathip Songkrasin and Sarach Yooyen could be playing in the Malaysia Super League (MSL) as early as next season, with the 2014 Suzuki Cup winners expressing their interest in a move abroad.

Both players were part of Kiatisuk Senamuang's all-conquering Thai side that grabbed last year's ASEAN title as well as a gold medal at the 2015 Southeast Asian Games football tournament. They have also taken their nation to the brink of the next round of 2018 World Cup qualifying.

Jedinak and Cahill inspire Australia to AFC WCQ victory over Kyrgyzstan

ESPN FC's John Wilkinson and Dez Corkhill assess Japan's convincing 3-0 win over Singapore in WCQ.
Thailand moved closer to securing their place in the third round of qualifying after defeating Chinese Taipei 4-2.
Australian captain Mile Jedinak gave the Socceroos the lead from the penalty spot in the 40th minute.

Captain Mile Jedinak helped Australia get their AFC World Cup qualifying campaign back on track with a first-half penalty in his comeback from injury in the 3-0 victory over Kyrgyzstan in Canberra.

Referee Kim Sang-woo pointed to the spot in the 39th minute after the jinking run of substitute Nathan Burns was met by a clumsy challenge from midfielder Islam Shamshiev.

Jedinak, playing his 60th international, placed his spot kick into the top right hand corner past goalkeeper Pavel Matiash in his...

Bangkok Glass defender Smith hopes TPL form earns Socceroos' recall

ESPN FC's Jason Dasey and PJ Roberts preview Australia's AFC WC qualifiers against Kyrgyzstan at home and Bangladesh away.

After a stellar debut season with ambitious Thai Premier League side Bangkok Glass, former Brisbane Roar captain Matt Smith hopes he has done enough to put himself back on the radar of Australia head coach Ange Postecoglou.

Bangkok Glass are equal third in the 18-team TPL, with Smith playing in all but one of their 36 league and cup games this season, scoring five goals. When required, the central defender has slotted in an unfamiliar central midfield role, adding to his value under Spanish head...

Singapore goalkeeper Hassan Sunny extends stay in Thai Premier League

Hassan Sunny has been rewarded for his consistent displays at mid-table Army United FC in Thailand.

Army United's Singaporean goalkeeper Hassan Sunny insists he didn't have to think twice about staying with the club after being rewarded for an outstanding debut season in the Thai Premier League (TPL) with a two-year extension to his contract.

Hassan, who is currently preparing for this week's World Cup qualifier against Japan, has impressed since keeping a clean sheet in the season opener at home to Navy FC. Army's contract offer is an indication of the esteem in which he is now held at the club...
