Thailand signs football MOU with Japan
Thailand's Somyot Poompanmoung and his Japanese counterpart Kohzo Tashima signed the MOU in Tokyo on Tuesday.

The Football Association of Thailand (FAT) is aiming to learn some of the secrets of Japan's success, as the War Elephants turn their attention to a place at a future World Cup.

The FAT formed a strategic partnership with the Japanese Football Association (JFA) by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the day of their World Cup qualifier in Saitama.

Former English Premier League striker Leroy Lita has joined Sisaket FC in the Thai League as he begins a new challenge in a colourful career.

Lita has scored against both Manchester United and Chelsea, so he knows the way to goal against some of the top clubs in the world. He will now have to try and rediscover the scoring touch that prompted then-Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers to sign him for £1.75m in 2011.
