Bangkok United boss Mano Polking believes three time champions Muang Thong United can still challenge for the Thai Premier League (TPL) title, despite falling further behind league leaders Suphanburi after the weekend's matches.

The Kirins are now five points behind the War Elephants on the TPL table, but it could have been worse as the home side rode their luck in a 1-1 draw with Bangkok United. Brazilian striker Cleiton Silva struck in the 88th minute to rescue a point for Muang Thong after Dragan...

Bangkok United coach Mano Polking is confident that he can get the better of Muang Thong United on their home ground -- the SCG Stadium -- for the third time in a row in the Thai Premier League (TPL) on Sunday.

Last season, the Brazilian led his former side Suphanburi to a stunning 5-2 victory at the home of the Twin Qilins. Then, after taking over the Bangkok Angels in mid season, Polking saw his new side end the campaign with a 3-2 victory at the three-time TPL champions.

Sergio van Dijk lives in Thailand, plays for Indonesia, made his name in Australia and was thinking about Malaysia.

When the second round AFC World Cup draw was made in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday night, the Suphanburi FC striker saw two of his worlds come together as Indonesia found themselves in the same pool as Thailand. 2007 Asian champions Iraq, Vietnam and Taiwan are the other nations in Group F.

"My first response is it is good to face Thailand... that is special for me," Van Dijk told ESPN...

A catchy Thai TV commercial for a skin care product shows a trendy young guy interrupting backyard frolics with his mates to answer the door bell and welcome three lovely ladies to a weekend barbeque -- with a winning smile.

It might have been one of the stars of popular soap operas like Raeng Pratana or Hormones, which captivate viewers from Hat Yai to Chang Rai. But instead the 'actor' was Thailand's Swiss-born midfielder Charyl Chappuis, who became a national celebrity when the War Elephants...

Jakkapan Pornsai has credited new coach Sergio Farias with helping Suphanburi move to the top of the Thai Premier League (TPL) table after a 2-1 victory over Jakkapan's former club Muang Thong United.

Suphanburi lead the 18-team league on 14 points after four wins and two draws in their opening six matches under Farias, the Brazilian who won the 2009 AFC Champions League with Pohang Steelers.

Jakkapan and former A-League golden boot winner Sergio Van Dijk were on target for Suphanburi before Macedonian...
