However, the Lions put in a committed performance in a match overshadowed by the passing of Lee Kuan Yew, who died on Monday.

The original purpose of this friendly was to celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations...

ESPN FC's Jason Dasey and John Wilkinson preview the friendly match-up between Thailand and Singapore.

Singapore will take on Thailand in an international friendly on Thursday at the Korat Stadium in Nakhon Ratchasima with a sombre mood affecting the visitors.

The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) decided to go ahead with the game despite the death earlier this week of Lee Kuan Yew, the nation's first Prime Minister.

This will be the 59th meeting between the two nations with Thailand winning 30 compared to just 12 victories for Singapore.
