Angry fans pelt South Korea players with toffees
Having picked up but a solitary point from their three World Cup group games, South Korea flew home from their tournament base in Foz do Iguaçu under a bit of a cloud on Sunday.
Indeed, the players and staff were faced with a gaggle of disgruntled fans on their arrival at Incheon International Airport, who decided to show their disapproval of the players' performances in Brazil by pelting them with toffees as they lined up for a photo in front of the media.
Korean news outlet Naver has a photo of the slightly confusing scene.
We do have an explanation: The Korean expression of "go eat toffee" is apparently a commonly used insult.
The rest, we hope, is fairly self-explanatory.
