Jason Dasey and John Wilkinson break down Singapore and Malaysia's recent poor home outing in the Asian Cup.

Singapore are above Malaysia on the FIFA world rankings for the first time in more than a year after climbing nine spots.

This comes after the Lions secured consecutive 1-1 draws against Hong Kong and Turkmenistan in their most recent international matches in August and September.

Singapore are at 162nd, four spots above Malaysia, who remained at 166th, according to the latest list.

Singapore Asian Cup rivals Chinese Taipei appoint new coach for qualifiers

Gary White
Gary White worked wonders with tiny Guam for four years between 2012 and 2016.

Ong is a not-so-familiar name in the local football scene. He was chosen after Stags' club advisor Desmond Choo had closely consulted the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) on the appointment...

Singapore should have worked harder to protect Asian Cup lead - Sundram

Jason Dasey and PJ Roberts evaluate the International Champions Cup's expansion into Singapore and how it can improve.

Head coach V. Sundramoorthy says fatigue contributed Singapore conceding a late equaliser in the 1-1 home draw against Turkmenistan in the 2019 Asian Cup qualifiers on Tuesday night.

The Lions had looked good for the three points after Shakir Hamzah's 63rd-minute strike. But they spurned a couple of gilt-edged opportunities before Altymyrat Annadurddyyev's strike eight minutes from time ensured the visitors grabbed a share of the spoils at Jalan Besar Stadium.
