Steve Kean's Brunei DPMM side secured a 3-1 victory over defending champions Warriors FC when the two giants clashed in a Great Eastern Yeo's S.League match at the Jalan Besar Stadium on Friday night.

Warriors FC came charging out of the blocks and had two golden opportunities in the opening minute to score, only to see DPMM hotshot Rafael Ramazotti punish their profligacy in front of goal with a first-half brace in the sixth and tenth minutes.

Miroslav Pejic was the architect in both moves when...

WC Qualifiers: Change of venues for Singapore's Group E games vs. Japan

Singapore coach Bernd Stange will need to prepare his team for the daunting away trip to Japan on June 16 instead of Nov. 12.

Singapore's 2018 World Cup qualification game against Japan on June 16 has been moved from the city state to Saitama in Japan.

The return match in Group E between the two nations on Nov. 12 will now be hosted by Singapore.

The tweaking of the schedule means Bernd Stange's side face the daunting prospect of taking on four time Asian champions Japan on their home turf just five days after their first game, also an away match against Cambodia.

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and world governing...

Sarawak coach Alberts wary of LionsXII attackers at Jalan Besar

ESPN FC's Claire Louise-Jedrek and John Wilkinson preview week 9 in the Malaysia Super League.

Sarawak coach Robert Alberts is wary of the young, attacking players of LionsXII, despite the Singapore side's poor start to the Malaysia Super League (MSL) season.

The two struggling clubs face off on the synthetic surface at the Jalan Besar Stadium on Saturday night. Sarawak are eighth in the standings on nine points while LionsXII are ninth with seven points.

"LionsXII have a decent home record in the MSL in 2015 though they've not had good results on the road," Alberts told ESPN FC. "They have...

S.League: 10-man Harimau Muda stage late comeback to hold Hougang

ESPN FC's Claire Louise-Jedrek and John Wilkinson preview the S. League match between Warriors FC and DPMM.

10-man Harimau Muda scored twice in the last 11 minutes to hold Hougang United to a thrilling 3-3 draw at the Hougang Stadium on Thursday night.

Hougang's hopes of recording their first win of the 2015 season rose when Nurhilmi Jasni and Kunihiro Yamashita gave them a 2-0 advantage in the first 20 minutes.

Though Amirul Hisyam pulled one back for Razip Ismail's team by converting a penalty at the stroke of half-time, substitute Fairoz Hasan restored the Cheetahs' two-goal lead in the 68th minute.

But...

S.League: Spirited Home hold Albirex Niigata to a draw

ESPN FC's Claire Louise-Jedrek and John Wilkinson preview the S. League match between Warriors FC and DPMM.

Home United bounced back from last week's shock defeat to Harimau Muda as they held high-flying Albirex Niigata (S) to a 0-0 draw in the Great Eastern Yeo's S.League on Wednesday night at the Yishun Stadium.

Both sides had their share of opportunities in an even contest but were just unable to find the back of the net.

However, the result still meant the Protectors restored some pride following last Friday's stunning 1-0 defeat at the hands of Harimau Muda. Home proved to be worthy opponents against...
