Denmark boss Age Hareide claimed Liam Bridcutt could have ended the career of Denmark substitute Erik Sviatchenko with his challenge on the defender.

Bournemouth striker Matt Ritchie capitalised on a Daniel Agger mistake in the eighth minute to score the only goal of the game in Scotland's 1-0 win over Denmark on Tuesday.

The rest of the game saw both sides trying to dictate play, but there was to be no further goals.

Scotland manager Gordon Strachan has hailed Scott Brown as a role model as the captain prepares to win his 50th cap.

The 30-year-old will skipper Scotland in their Hampden friendly against Denmark on Tuesday night, more than a decade after winning his first cap.

Strachan signed Brown from Hibernian while Celtic manager in 2007 and made him his Scotland captain after Darren Fletcher was sidelined by illness.
