Brian McClair steps down as Scottish FA's performance director

Brian McClair left Manchester United to take up a role with the Scottish FA in June 2015.

Former Manchester United and Celtic striker Brian McClair has left his role as the Scottish Football Association's performance director.

McClair, who had previously overseen Manchester United's youth academy, took up the role in June last year but says he is stepping down after failing to make "a significant difference" to Scotland's production line of talent.

Iceland kit orders spike 1,800 percent -- including thousands from Scotland

Iceland kit-makers can't keep up with demand for the country's bright blue playing shirt, which is almost 2,000 percent higher than anticipated and has seen a spike in orders -- unexpectedly -- from Scotland, according to reports.
