Scottish Football Association chief executive Stewart Regan insists Hampden bosses did not discuss sacking Gordon Strachan in the wake of this month's defeat to Slovakia.

Gordon Strachan set to stay on as Scotland manager - reports

ESPN FC's Steve Nicol assesses what Scotland need to do to get back to winning ways after their latest loss to Slovakia.

Gordon Strachan will remain as Scotland manager, according to multiple reports.

Strachan had reportedly been considering his future and was set to have discussions with the Scottish Football Association (SFA) after a poor start to World Cup qualification.

However, BBC Scotland and other outlets reported on Thursday that the former Celtic boss and the governing body are not inclined to part ways.

Strachan, 59, is therefore set to be in charge when Scotland bid to rekindle their World Cup qualification...
