Perth Glory's trip to Philippines could see more A-League clubs following suit

Perth Glory
Perth Glory sealed a 2-1 win against the UFL All-Stars in Manila.

Former A-League players Tahj Minniecon and Matt Acton came face-to-face with familiar foes as part of the UFL All-Stars side against Perth Glory during the festive All-Star weekend in Manila.

The visitors won 2-1 in a closely fought affair, with Australia and Perth fullback Josh Risdon pleasantly surprised by the high standard of the Philippine players, having also faced Global FC three days earlier.

Hartmann, 24, got his first taste of Singapore domestic football action when he came on as a second-half substitute in the Singapore Cup first leg loss to Albirex Niigata (S), before starting in the return leg where he scored his first goal for the club to force a 2-2 draw.

Despite his club's exit...

Hartmann makes Geylang debut in Singapore Cup, wants Sahil link

Geylang striker Mark Hartmann
Azkals' striker Mark Hartmann made his debut in the 2-0 loss to Albirex Niigata (S) on Tuesday.

Having made his debut for Geylang International in the Singapore Cup this week, Philippines national team striker Mark Hartmann is hungry for more game time alongside Sahil Suhaimi.

The attacking duo were brought on in the 62nd minute in quarterfinal first leg against Albirex Niigata (S) on Tuesday as the visitors went in search of goals having gone 2-0 behind at Jurong East Stadium.

Along with the introduction of Lions winger Gabriel Quak, they wasted little time in piecing the attacking jigsaw...
