Odion Ighalo: If Watford keep working hard we can stay in Premier League

Odion Ighalo has had a fine start to the season.

Watford striker Odion Ighalo believes the club are good enough to stay in the Premier League after losing only two of their opening seven games.

Ighalo, who has scored 20 goals in 2015 to make him the most prolific player in all four divisions of English football, has helped the newly-promoted side to wins over Newcastle and Swansea and three draws.

Those results mean the Hornets sit 13th, outside the top half of the table on goal difference.

Wolves take Shola Ameobi on trial ahead of potential signing

Shola Ameobi, left, made his Nigeria debut in 2012 at the age of 31.

Jordon Ibe's impressive form for Liverpool has seen a battle for his international allegiance.

Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe will give priority to an England international call-up over Nigeria, according to Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh.

Ibe, 19, was recently called up to England's under-21 squad, though the London-born teenager also qualifies to play for Nigeria through his father, David.

Oliseh made a personal approach to Ibe back in August to try and persuade the winger to switch his international allegiance from England.

Ibe could still play for Nigeria because he has not yet played...

Sunday Oliseh 'impressed' with Nigeria draw in debut game vs. Tanzania

Sunday Oliseh has plenty to build on for the next game.

Nigeria coach Sunday Oliseh said he was happy with the 0-0 draw against Tanzania in African Nations Cup qualifying given that it was his first game in charge.

The Super Eagles had to rely on a fine performance from Wolves goalkeeper Carl Ikeme to keep the game goalless and Oliseh is hopeful that he can learn lessons from the game to take the side forward.

"I can describe the match as a game of two halves, because we struggled in the first half but came back strongly in the second...
