2026 World Cup hosting vote postponed three years until 2020

During his visit to Seoul, South Korea FIFA president Gianni Infantino shared his new vision for FIFA.

The hosts of the 2026 World Cup will be decided in May 2020, three years later than originally scheduled because of the corruption scandals that have engulfed FIFA.

In an attempt to avoid the recriminations that dogged the 2010 decision to give the 2018 World Cup to Russia and 2022 tournament to Qatar, world football's governing body will try a four-phase approach for 2026.

New Zealand appeals Olympics decision

New Zealand Football has announced it will challenge a decision by the Oceania Football Confederation Disciplinary Committee that could see the All Whites miss out on the Olympics.

New Zealand beat Vanuatu 2-0 on Friday to advance to the final of the Pacific Games tournament with the winner securing a place in next summer's Games in Rio.

But Vanuatu lodged a protest to the OFC over the eligibility of South Africa born defender Deklan Wynne, which was upheld by the governing body, resulting in Vanuatu...
