Hiddink took over after Louis van Gaal led Netherlands to third place at last summer's World Cup, but the country have had a poor qualifying campaign for Euro 2016 -- winning just four games in 10 matches, drawing once and losing five times so far -- and the former Chelsea boss resigned earlier this week.
