Australia's record-scorer Tim Cahill grabbed a first half hat trick as the Asian champions eased to a 4-0 victory over Bangladesh in an AFC 2018 World Cup qualifier in Dhaka on Tuesday night.

Cahill took his Socceroos' tally to 45 goals in 88 international matches as he opened the scoring in the sixth minute with a simple header before adding to his account in the 32nd and 38th minutes.

Kuwait's World Cup qualifier with Myanmar postponed

Kuwait are currently banned from playing international football.

FIFA has postponed Kuwait's next World Cup qualifying match because their federation is suspended from international football for government interference.

Kuwait were to play at Myanmar in neutral Bangkok, Thailand, on Tuesday in an Asian qualifying group.

FIFA said that, taking into account the suspension, the match "cannot take place."

Myanmar part ways with former Singapore coach Raddy Avramovic

Radojko Avramovic has left his position as Myanmar national team coach.

Former Singapore coach Radojko Avramovic has relinquished his role with the Myanmar national team and has been replaced by U19 coach Gerd Zeise.

The Myanmar Football Federation (MFF) confirmed the move on their facebook page on Saturday.

Having taken over the hot seat in February last year, the Notts County FC legend led the White Angels into the 2014 AFF Suzuki Cup tournament where they were ousted from Group A along with his former side Singapore.

North Korea, Qatar win to stay in first place in World Cup qualifying groups

North Korea, Qatar, Thailand and Jordan all won on Tuesday to maintain their group leads in the second round of Asian qualifying for the World Cup.

Jong Il Gwan's 12th-minute penalty gave North Korea a 1-0 win over Yemen in Group H.

The North Koreans opened a four-point lead over Uzbekistan, who have a game in hand.

In the other Group H game, Ismail Abdul-Latif and Sayed Adnan both scored early in the second half to give Bahrain their second win in qualifying, 2-0 at home against the Philippines.
