Lyle Foster scored a brace to help South Africa edge Mauritius 2-0 in a tightly contested Group B clash at the 2017 Mopani Copper Mines Cosafa Under-20 Championships at the Nkana Stadium on Thursday.

Tanzania advance to meet South Africa at Cosafa Cup

Three-time winners Angola crashed out of the Cosafa Cup on Thursday after failing to score for a second successive match and being pipped to top place in Group A by guest team Tanzania.

Angola and Tanzania started the last round of group games equal on points, but with Tanzania (+2) having a better goal-difference.

But a goalless draw for Angola (+1) against Malawi at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace, combined with a 1-1 draw for Tanzania against Mauritius at the same time at the Moruleng Stadium...

Tanzania, Angola with Day 1 COSAFA Castle Cup wins

East Africa guest nation Tanzania claimed a first-ever victory at the COSAFA Castle Cup at the eighth attempt after breezing past Malawi at the 2017 instalment of the Southern African championship on Sunday.

Tanzania, who are appearing for a third time after previous visits in 1997 and 2015, profited from a fast start as Yahya Ramadhani scored twice in the opening 18 minutes to give them the win.
