South Africa will take on Lesotho in the final of the 2017 Mopani Copper Mines COSAFA Under-20 Championships after the pair claimed tense semi-final victories at the Nkana Stadium on Thursday.

South Africa defeated Egypt 1-0 in a feisty affair thanks to a winner from Luvuyo Mkatshana just before halftime, while Lesotho defeated Uganda 6-5 on penalties after the two sides played to a 0-0 draw.

Lesotho will play in their third final after previous appearances in 1990 and 2005, but are seeking their...

COSAFA U20 Cup: Day 2 Roundup

Lyle Foster scored a brace to help South Africa edge Mauritius 2-0 in a tightly contested Group B clash at the 2017 Mopani Copper Mines Cosafa Under-20 Championships at the Nkana Stadium on Thursday.

The Orlando Pirates striker smashed the ball goalwards on 73 minutes and the ball clattered against the crossbar and down. There was some debate over whether the ball crossed the line, but the goal was awarded.

South Africa are level at the head of the pool with North African guest nation Egypt, who...

The Basotho then launched into joyous celebration after goalkeeper Likano Mphuthi...

Mohamed Saleh and Egypt have eliminated Stanley Amuzie and Nigeria from next year's African Nations Cup.

Nigeria will not be competing at the 2017 African Nations Cup after losing 1-0 to Egypt on Tuesday.

Ramadan Sobhy took advantage of a missed clearance to put Egypt atop qualifying Group G at Borg El-Arab Stadium, where a longstanding ban on fans attending games in large numbers in Egypt was temporarily lifted.

Nigeria faced a must-win game after Chad withdrew from their group earlier this week. Under CAF's rules, all of Chad's previous results are thrown out, leaving Nigeria with just two points...

Cameroon move top of ANC qualifying group after South Africa draw

Cameroon will be looking to avoid any missteps in their quest for African Nations' Cup qualification.
Cameroon sit top of Group M following Saturday's draw with South Africa.

Cameroon moved top of Group M after securing a 2-2 draw against South Africa in their 2017 African Nations Cup qualifying clash on Saturday.

South Africa had taken the lead through Tokelo Rantie, only for Sebastien Siani to level for the hosts just before the break.

And Cameroon recovered from a losing position again in the second half after Kekana Hlompo had fired the visitors back into the lead -- scoring a screamer from inside his own half -- with Nicolas N'Koulou then grabbing a 67th-minute...
