Nelo Vingada will stay as Malaysia coach despite poor record - TMJ

ESPN FC's Jason Dasey and Stanley Bernard discuss the third postponement of Malaysia's AFC Cup qualifier against North Korea.

The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) president is standing by his winless national head coach Nelo Vingada, who suffered his fourth defeat in five matches in AFC Asian Cup qualifying on Tuesday as Malaysia lost 2-0 to Hong Kong.

The Crown Prince of Johor (TMJ) insists the Portuguese boss should be given more time, despite the fact that Malaysia's results have got worse since he took charge in May.

Vietnam close to 2019 AFC Asian Cup qualification after Cambodia win

Vietnam supporters
Vietnam fans will be feeling confident of qualifying for the 2019 Asian Cup after another victory.

Vietnam are on the verge of qualifying for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup after they went joint top of Group B with a dominant 5-0 victory over Cambodia in Hanoi.

The result gave Park Hang-Seo the perfect platform from which to seal qualification for the continental championship when he takes over as head coach this week. Three points at home to Afghanistan next month would book their ticket to United Arab Emirates in Jan. 2019.
