France play on after Paris attacks but lose friendly against England

France and England fans unite at Wembley to sing the French national anthem ahead of their international friendly.

Dele Alli and Wayne Rooney scored as England defeated France 2-0 in a friendly at Wembley on Tuesday, four days after the attacks in Paris.

England controlled much of the action after a rousing national anthem that saw England fans sing "La Marseillaise" in support of the French.

Former Schalke player Michael Skibbe has become the fourth man to manage Greece in a little over a year.

ATHENS, Greece -- The Greek football association has hired Michael Skibbe of Germany as the new national team coach, the fourth man to take the position in little over a year following the country's disastrous European Championship qualifying campaign.

UEFA hits Romania with stadium ban after fan racism

Romania were held to a goalless draw at home against Greece, who have already been eliminated from contention.

Romania have been punished for racist and violent behaviour by fans with an order to play their final European Championship qualifying home match in an empty stadium.

The Romanian football federation says UEFA on Thursday also imposed fines totaling €110,000.

The incidents happened during Romania's 0-0 draws at neighboring Hungary and at home to Greece this month.
