Hamburg sign 18-year-old Gambian refugee Bakery Jatta

Bakery Jatta has already been training with Hamburg.

Hamburg have signed Gambian refugee Bakery Jatta on a three-year contract.

Jatta turned 18 a week ago, which allowed him to sign a professional deal. He already had been training with the first team.

Jatta fled his homeland in 2015 and arrived in northern Germany via Italy. He joined a football academy in Bremen and convinced Hamburg's staff to trial him.

He can play in several attacking positions. Jatta says he had never played in a club before.

Mohamed Salah scored twice as Egypt booked their place at the African Nations Cup.

Egypt and Senegal qualified for the African Nations Cup thanks to wins against Tanzania and Burundi.

Meanwhile, a Mohamed Salah brace resolved...

Ramadan Sobhy took advantage of a missed clearance to put Egypt atop qualifying Group G at Borg El-Arab Stadium, where a longstanding ban on fans attending games in large numbers in Egypt was temporarily lifted.

Nigeria faced a must-win game after Chad withdrew from their group earlier this week. Under CAF's rules, all of Chad's previous results are thrown out, leaving Nigeria with just two points...

Mohamed Salah salvages late draw for Egypt at Nigeria in ANC qualifying

Mohamed Salah scored in stoppage time to salvage a 1-1 draw for Egypt at Nigeria in a 2017 African Nations Cup qualifier on Friday.

Oghenekaro Etebo had provided Nigeria with the lead on 95 minutes, though Odion Ighalo missed chances to double their advantage.

And Egypt made them pay late on when Etebo played Salah onside to score in the final moments.

Egypt lead Group G by two points midway through the campaign, with Nigeria's chances starting to dim after they already failed to win at Tanzania...
