France coach Didier Deschamps is unhappy with some fans reaction to Olivier Giroud in their win over Cameroon.

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has said he finds it hard to understand why some France fans jeered him during their 3-2 victory over Cameroon on Monday.

Giroud, 29, got France's second goal in the friendly win in Nantes as the Euro 2016 hosts stepped up their preparations for next month's tournament.

The former Montpellier forward's strike from a wonderful Paul Pogba cross was his fifth in his last four starts for his country.

David Ginola has revealed he is home after his recent health issues -- and thanked wellwishers for their support.

The 49-year-old former Newcastle and Tottenham and France international winger underwent quadruple heart bypass surgery.

Didier Deschamps admits his side need to improve before the Euros defensively, but trusts the players he has at his disposal.

France coach Didier Deschamps has revealed that he did not contemplate giving Mamadou Sakho a late call-up for Euro 2016, even though it now seems that the Liverpool defender could be available to play.

Sakho, 26, was left out of the hosts' provisional squad for next month's tournament after he was forced to serve a 30-day ban for an anti-doping violation.
