England Women's goalkeeping coach Lee Kendall quits after allegations

Lee Kendall has left his job as England Women's goalkeeping coach.

Lee Kendall has quit as goalkeeping coach of the England Women's team following Eni Aluko's allegation that he repeatedly spoke to her in a Caribbean accent.

The Football Association said on Thursday that Kendall had resigned despite an investigation concluding that no further action should be taken against him.

Aluko, who is of African descent, made her claims during a parliamentary panel hearing into the culture of the England Women's team.

FA should bring in Eni Aluko to drive cultural change - sports minister

Eni Aluko has plenty to offer the Football Association, according to sports minister Tracey Crouch.

Sports minister Tracey Crouch believes the Football Association should accept England striker Eni Aluko's offer to help improve the governing body's athlete welfare policies following the Mark Sampson affair.

Crouch was speaking to the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) committee a month after Aluko appeared before the same panel to describe her experience of raising a bullying and discrimination complaint against Sampson, the former England women's team manager.

Eni Aluko 'disappointed' by lack of backing from England teammates

Speaking to a UK parliamentary committee, former England footballer Eni Aluko says that FA chief exec Martin Glenn asked her to write 'a statement saying the FA were not institutionally racist' in order to receive the 2nd part of her financial settlement

Eni Aluko has told the BBC she is "disappointed and surprised" by the lack of support she has received from England teammates over her allegations against former England Women manager Mark Sampson.

Aluko said Sampson had made a racially discriminatory remark to her in November 2014, which was eventually proven after three inquiries.

Sampson was also found to have used discriminatory language towards another England player, Drew Spence, and was sacked in September over a separate safeguarding matter.

England women's star Fara Williams scores direct from kick-off vs. Arsenal

England international Fara Williams returned to haunt her old side as Reading registered an impressive 2-1 away win over Arsenal in the WSL Cup on Sunday afternoon.

Williams opened the scoring in the first half only to see Beth Mead equalise just after the hour mark.

However, from the resulting restart, Williams wasted little time grabbing her and Reading's second goal of the game by stepping up to smash one in directly from kick-off.

What a superb strike. Incredible conviction from 50-plus yards...

Eni Aluko scores first goals since parliamentary committee appearance

Speaking to a UK parliamentary committee, former England footballer Eni Aluko says that FA chief exec Martin Glenn asked her to write 'a statement saying the FA were not institutionally racist' in order to receive the 2nd part of her financial settlement

Eni Aluko scored twice in her first match since appearing before a parliamentary committee hearing into the Football Association's handling of her complaints against former England Women boss Mark Sampson.

Aluko's goals came as Women's Super League leaders Chelsea thrashed bottom side Yeovil 6-0 at home.

Eleven days on from her appearance before the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport committee, Aluko scored the second and sixth goals in a win that extended Chelsea's 100 percent start in the league.
