Veteran goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen has announced that he's calling it a day at the end of the current season and retiring after 22 long years in the saddle.

Currently entering into the final few months of his ever-dwindling Stoke City contract, the 38-year-old Danish stopper has vowed to mark his retirement by "giving something back" -- duly announcing that he plans to cycle some 4,000 miles across the United States in the summer all in the name of charity.
