Following Tomas Rosicky's retirement announcement, Jack Wilshere shares a special message to his former Arsenal teammate.
The ESPN FC crew debate whether or not Mesut Ozil should leave Arsenal at the end of his contract.

Tomas Rosicky has retired from professional football, Sparta Prague have announced, with Borussa Dortmund telling ESPN FC he remains an "all-time favourite" at the club.

Rosicky, 37, left Arsenal in 2016 after 10 years in the Premier League to return to the club where he began his career.

"After careful consideration I have realised I am no longer able to fully prepare my body for what the professional football requires," Rosicky said in a statement released by Sparta.

Northern Ireland have guaranteed second spot in Group C with a 2-0 win over Czech Republic that means they are virtually assured of a November playoff to get to the World Cup finals in Russia.

A point would have been enough to ensure they would finish as runners-up, but first-half goals from Jonny Evans and Chris Brunt gave them a victory which means they will almost certainly be one of the eight-best second placed teams in the playoffs.

Moreover, having claimed 19 points from a possible 24 so far,...

Mats Hummels' late header secured Germany a 2-1 win over the Czech Republic in Prague to guarantee the world champions at least a playoff place from World Cup qualifying Group C.

Die Mannschaft, captained by Thomas Muller for the first time in a competitive fixture, took an early lead after just four minutes through RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner.

However, the Czech Republic netted a deserved equaliser on 78 minutes through a stunning effort from Hertha Berlin midfielder Vladimir Darida which crashed...

Petr Cech tries his goalkeeping skills on ice in celeb hockey game

Petr Cech has proved that when it comes to goalkeeping, he's just as accomplished on ice as he is on the hallowed turf of the football pitch.

Three days before Arsenal's first game of the Premier League season, the Czech veteran dashed off to make a special appearance in an exhibition ice hockey game in his native country -- a testimonial for former NHL star Martin Havlat.

Doing his best Dominik Hasek impression, Cech took to the ice for one period of the game, conceding three goals in the...
