Ivan Perisic needs shoulder surgery

Wolfsburg's Ivan Perisic, who scored two goals for Croatia at the World Cup, has a broken shoulder.

WOLFSBURG, Germany -- Wolfsburg forward Ivan Perisic has a broken shoulder and will need surgery that will put him on the long-term injured list with Patrick Ochs and Christian Traesch.

Ochs is out with a knee injury, and Traesch also has a shoulder injury.

Croatia international Perisic, who scored 10 times for Wolfsburg last season, suffered the injury during the Telekom Cup match against Bayern Munich on Sunday, having to be withdrawn after 21 minutes.

Striker Eduardo quits Croatia team

Eduardo is Croatia's second-highest all-time scorer.

Croatia striker Eduardo da Silva has announced his retirement from international football after concluding that he was being "deprived of a fair and honest treatment."

They chose to do so on Facebook (possibly because it's still 2009 where they live, or maybe because Snapchat was unavailable). In the course of the conversation, according to Der Spiegel, Perumal claimed that the Cameroon squad at the World Cup had "seven bad apples in it" and...

Much to everyone's surprise, it wasn't any of the key players. Luka Modric, Ivan Rakitic and Mario Mandzukic all showed a somewhat average form with only a few flas...
