Saad Samir & Ahmed Hegazy
Egypt ensured that they will face Burkina Faso in the African Nations Cup semifinal after beating Morocco on Sunday.

Egypt provided more late drama at the African Nations Cup when they snatched the last place in the semifinals with an 87th-minute goal to beat Morocco 1-0 on Sunday.

Egypt went into the last four at their first ANC in seven years when Mahmoud Kahraba hooked in a volley after a goalmouth scramble right near the end of the last quarterfinal in Gabon.

Egypt's progression completed the semifinal lineup, and it includes the three most successful teams ever at this tournament, and a long-shot that has...

Victor Moses and John Obi Mikel score as Nigeria beat Algeria

Nigeria players celebrate a goal during the win over Algeria.

Chelsea duo Victor Moses and John Obi Mikel scored for Nigeria as they continued their perfect start to World Cup qualifying with a 3-1 win against Algeria that left them four points clear at the top of Group B.

Moses was the architect of the win in Uyo as he first punished hesitant defending on 25 minutes, when he burst into the area and saw a weak attempt to clear fall back into his path for him to finish.

Mikel doubled the home side's lead just before break and while Nabil Bentaleb set up a nervy...

Arsenal midfielder Iwobi opened the scoring for the Super Eagles in the 32nd minute, firing into the bottom corner following a knockback to net his first international goal.

And Manchester City striker Iheanacho then doubled Nigeria's lead 10 minutes later as he latched onto a through ball before rounding the keeper and slotting home.

Ghana frustrated by Mozambique in ANC qualifying stalemate

Ghana head coach Avram Grant has been roundly criticised for not spending very much time in the country.
Avram Grant's side failed to take their opportunities against Mozambique.

Ghana were left to rue missed chances as they were held to a 0-0 Group H draw by a Mozambique side who earned their first point of the qualifying campaign.

Aston Villa striker Jordan Ayew failed to convert a close-range opportunity for Avram Grant's group leaders as the game approached its final 15 minutes, Leicester striker Jeffrey Schlupp fired wide and Ebenezer Assifuah powered a header off target.

But Ghana also had cause to be grateful to defender John Boye, who made fine interceptions to prevent...
