Nigeria face a stiff test to qualify for the 2018 World Cup.

Three of the five African teams at the 2014 World Cup have been drawn in the same group to qualify for the 2018 edition.

Only one of Algeria, Cameroon and Nigeria will play at the next tournament in Russia after the Confederation of African Football made the draw for five qualifying groups on Friday.

The three traditional powers were grouped with Zambia.

Cameroon beat Mauritania to qualify for African Nations Cup

Cameroon qualified for the 2017 African Nations Cup with a 1-0 win over Mauritania on Friday.

Cameroon international Patrick Ekeng died after playing for Dinamo Bucharest on Friday.

Romania's interior ministry has suspended the licence of a private ambulance company that transported Dinamo Bucharest and Cameroon midfielder Patrick Ekeng to hospital after he collapsed on the pitch during a match on Friday. He died later in hospital
