Cameroon closed in on qualification for next year's African Nations Cup with a 2-0 win over Sierra Leone on Wednesday.

Group D rival Ivory Coast, meanwhile, lost 4-3 at home to Congo to slip out of the qualifying places for next year's continental championship.

Samuel Eto'o explained how manager Roberto Martinez persuaded him to join Everton, as the Cameroonian striker signs on a two-year deal.

Samuel Eto'o announced on Twitter that he is ending his international career for his native Cameroon.
