Going from amateur footballer to full international in just two years, Christopher Van Huizen's Singapore debut against Japan was "out of this world" as he faced up to one of his heroes in Borussia Dortmund attacker Shinji Kagawa.

The Lions lost 3-0 to Japan in last Thursday's AFC World Cup qualifier in front of 33,868 fans at the National Stadium. And with 10 minutes remaining, the noise level went up a notch when the fourth official held up the substitution board, displaying Van Huizen's number...
