Del Piero ruled out for Sydney FC

Sydney FC captain Alessandro Del Piero has been ruled out of his side's match against Central Coast on Saturday with a hamstring injury.

The A-League star tweeted an update on his situation on Wednesday night.

"Thx for all your messages, my left hamstring is a little fatigued. I will miss the CCoast match, I'll probably be back for the next home game."

Del Piero injured his leg during Sydney FC's 2-0 win over Newcastle last round, hobbling from the field in the first half.

Sydney FC's next home game is on December 15 against the Melbourne Heart.
