World Cup final referee Howard Webb has been included on the 12-man list to officiate at Euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine next summer.
Englishman Webb, who was criticised for his handling of the 2010 World Cup final between Spain and Netherlands in South Africa, will be joined by Scotland's Craig Thomson at the European Championships.
Hungarian Viktor Kassai, who refereed Barcelona's 2011 Champions League final victory over Manchester United, is also included alongside experienced German Wolfgang Stark.
A ruling from the International Football Association Board (IFAB) will allow the continuation of the experiment in the use of additional assistant referees.
The 12 referees and four additional assistants will now undergo a series of training courses to prepare them for the finals.
The UEFA EURO 2012 main referees are: Cuneyt Cakir (TUR), Jonas Eriksson (SWE), Viktor Kassai (HUN), Bjorn Kuipers (NED), Stephane Lannoy (FRA), Pedro Proenca (POR), Nicola Rizzoli (ITA), Damir Skomina (SVN), Wolfgang Stark (GER), Craig Thomson (SCO), Carlos Velasco Carballo (ESP), Howard Webb (ENG).
