Gold Coast arrest losing streak

Gold Coast United ended their run of five successive defeats but remain rooted to the bottom of the A-League after a dull 0-0 draw with Sydney FC at Skilled Park.

• Saturday's A-League review

Referee Ben Williams saw the most action in a poor contest, dishing out nine yellow cards, seven of them to Sydney.

While the home side will be happy to have claimed their first point since October, Sydney were left to rue not building on ending Brisbane's record unbeaten run last weekend.
