ESPNsoccernet needs you!

ESPNsoccernet's Football Correspondents pages have provided opinionated football fans with the chance to publish articles to a massive global audience since the year 2000 and we're going international once again this summer to cover the European Championships.

We are looking to recruit sixteen enthusiastic, voluntary bloggers for the duration of Euro 2012, one from each qualified nation, to be the voice of your country throughout the tournament.

Over the course of the domestic season, our Football Correspondents have provided insightful views from the perspective of the fans for clubs in the Premier League and across Europe, but now it's time for the rest of world to join in.

ESPNsoccernet is always interested in hearing from energetic writers with enthusiasm. We are always looking for motivated people to join our team of voluntary Football Correspondents and now is your chance to make a name for yourself around the world.

If you have an obsession for international football and want to share your passion and knowledge with millions of readers on your very own page on ESPNsoccernet then apply to be one of our sixteen bloggers.

As part of ESPNsoccernet FC you will have your work published online on one of the world's leading football websites and gain experience in the field of football journalism - with a written reference available on request.

You must be able to write in English, to a good level, and convey your ideas and arguments in a cohesive way to fans from all over the globe.

So, if you want to volunteer to represent your country this summer apply below and tell us what makes you a prime candidate for ESPNsoccernet FC - include your writing experience and methods used to gather information - and send us a 250-word (maximum, please) sample of your writing. It could be a match report, or, if your team aren't playing, a news story or opinion piece based on the latest news, or your fantasy scoop.

As a Correspondent you will be required to provide ESPNsoccernet's readers with your opinion of tactics and results, plus any other hot topics affecting your nation, as well as keeping us up to date with team news, speculation and looking ahead to forthcoming fixtures.

These positions are unpaid, but the Correspondents pages provide all you zealots with the opportunity to write about your country's journey through the Euros. Our readers can follow your rollercoaster ride of emotions through post-match euphoria and dejection, then debate all the bias that comes with football.

Euro 2012 teams:

Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark , England, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Russia and Ukraine.

• TO APPLY, click on your nation of choice, which should also be the subject line of the email. If the nation link is not clickable, the position has already been filled.
