Lazio striker Djibril Cisse has reacted angrily to criticism about his recent goal drought, taking to Twitter to defend his form and launch a scathing attack on his "haters".
Cisse, 30, made an impressive start to life at the Stadio Olimpico, scoring four times in his first three games for the Biancocelesti, but has struggled for goals since then.
The former Liverpool striker's lean spell now stands at 15 matches after he once again failed to find the net in Lazio's 0-0 Europa League draw with Vaslui on Thursday and his lack of goals has drawn plenty of criticism on Twitter and elsewhere.
Cisse, though, feels insulted by the negative assessments of his recent form and used the social networking site to vent his anger.
"All of you f****** like to talk," Cisse wrote. "You will regret your words soon. Bye, you bunch of idiots. You will see who I really am. I will make all of you haters regret your words.
"For my real fans, I thank you for the support. For the real supporters - I will be back scoring soon, I promise you. Good night."
Cisse's last goal for Lazio came in a 2-2 draw with Vaslui on September 15.
