Lille striker Moussa Sow has hailed the impact of on-loan Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole at the Ligue 1 club.
On his debut against St Etienne, Cole set up Ludovic Obraniak following a skilful, mazy run to help ease into life at the Stade Lille-Metropole and has gone on to make 17 appearances for the French title holders, scoring three goals.
Lille have been impressed with the Englishman, hinting they would like to make his transfer permanent, and top-scorer Sow says signing Cole is a gamble that has paid off.
"He [Cole] is a great pro," he told RMC Sports. "Along with [David] Rozenhal, he is the first in the locker room in the morning.
"He is always there ready, he is very involved and highly motivated, even when he's not playing. It's a surprise to see him like that. It was a gamble for the club, and so far it's been successful."
Cole, 30, made the move to France after enduring a difficult season at Anfield in 2010-11.
