Roma striker Pablo Osvaldo has been fined €50,000 and suspended by his club after last week's physical altercation with team-mate Erik Lamela.
Osvaldo, 25, reportedly punched Lamela in the changing room following Friday's 2-0 defeat at Udinese and new Giallorossi manager Luis Enrique urged the club to take action.
As well as being fined the maximum amount under Lega Calcio rules, Osvaldo, who is Roma's top scorer with five league goals this season, will not be available for Sunday's game at former club Fiorentina, although he will be allowed to train with the first team during his ban.
"There was this disrespectful gesture from Osvaldo towards a team-mate and, on request of the coach, the player will be punished,'' Roma general director Franco Baldini told Roma Channel.
The former Fiorentina player joined Roma from Spanish side Espanyol in the summer. The Giallorossi are sixth in Serie A, with five wins from their 12 games this season.
