Cavani cools City talk

Manchester City target Edinson Cavani has cooled talk of a move to the Etihad Stadium, the Uruguay striker insisting he is happy at Napoli, for now.

• No cut-price deal for Tevez
• Milan coy on Tevez

City are tracking the 24-year-old, who is idolised by the San Paolo faithful, as are Chelsea and French giants Paris St Germain. However, Cavani says he has yet to fulfil all his goals at Napoli, and he wants to bring them success before making a possible move to the Premier League or elsewhere.

"It's an honour to know there are many important coaches who are interested in me," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "These are managers who only coach prestigious clubs. I'll probably be fine working with them.

"But for the moment, Napoli is best for me. The fans show affection and make me feel important. I am enjoying the moment and want to win with this shirt.

"Thinking that we are following in the footsteps of [Diego] Maradona and Careca [Antonio de Oliveira Filho] is something very beautiful, it's the greatest satisfaction."

Despite being settled in Italy, Cavani - whose contract runs until 2016 - says moving to a different league would not faze him.

"I feel ready for anything," he added. "I'm not afraid of anything and I don't fear comparisons. Who knows, tomorrow there could also be an option other than Napoli, we will see in the future."
