Leonardo: No Ancelotti offer

Paris St Germain sporting director Leonardo has quelled suggestions the Ligue 1 club could appoint Carlo Ancelotti as manager.

• Ancelotti open to Premier League trio
• Ancelotti: England is the place to be
• PSG 'won't close the door' on Eto'o
• PSG's pragmatism proving problematic

Italian coach Ancelotti is without a club after being sacked by Chelsea at the end of last season, having finished the campaign trophyless.

Antoine Kombouare is the current boss of big-spending PSG, but, despite leading his team to the summit of Ligue 1, his future is the ongoing subject of conjecture.

Leonardo, though, has told L'Equipe: "Ancelotti was in Paris and I met him. I also met Kaka. I meet a lot of people you don't know about.

"Nowadays everyone is calling PSG. It is a new situation, but it is good for the club. My job is to talk to everyone, not about hiring, but to build networks. We have to think about the future.

"I didn't propose anything to Ancelotti. There has been no offer. Antoine Kombouare knows what the situation is. We have had thousands of talks and everything is very clear."
