Talks to keep Borussia Dortmund midfielder Shinji Kagawa at the club have been put on hold until the end of the season, according to sporting director Michael Zorc.
Kagawa, 22, has been attracting rave reviews and starred in his side's 5-1 win over Wolfsburg last weekend. But, with Manchester United and Arsenal among the clubs rumoured to be interested in the Japan international, Dortmund have been told to wait to tie him down.
"Other things have priority at the moment. Shinji does not want to talk about a possible contract extension at the moment. The talks have been put on hold," Zorc told kicker.
Kagawa recently revealed his relief in getting back to his best.
"It really bugged me that I struggled at the start of the season, but I told myself to remain calm and have slowly gotten back to my old form,'' he said. ''It pays off now."
