Hazard claims interest from Milan duo

Lille playmaker Eden Hazard has claimed Inter Milan and AC Milan have both demonstrated an interest in his services.

• Hazard confirms he will leave Lille

Hazard, 20, confirmed on Monday his intention to leave Ligue 1 champions Lille at the end of the season, having plied his first-team trade at Stade Lille-Metropole since 2007.

The Belgium international's impressive displays in France have seen him linked with a host of high-profile clubs, including the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Real Madrid, as well as other sides across Europe.

And Hazard's revelation of plans to seek a new challenge next summer is likely to have alerted a string of teams, with both Inter and Milan seemingly among the queue of clubs set to be chasing his signature.

"Inter made me an interesting offer in the summer, but there was still some uncertainty regarding the choice of coach and we didn't know whether (Wesley) Sneijder and (Samuel) Eto'o were going to stay," Hazard told La Gazzeta dello Sport.

"But it's not just Inter, Milan have shown an interest as well. They proposed that I stay at Lille and then sit down for serious talks at the end of the season. I feel ready to join a major club. In any case I won't be staying in France."
