Tevez happy to stay in England

Carlos Tevez would welcome the chance to join another Premier League club, according to his advisor.

• Redknapp: Spurs can't afford Tevez
• Tevez fine limited to two weeks
• Maradona 'hurt' by Tevez treatment

There appears to be little prospect that Tevez, 27, could remain at Manchester City, with the club recently having attempted to fine the striker an additional four weeks' wages after a hearing into his alleged refusal to come on as a substitute against Bayern Munich in September.

Tevez had earlier expressed a desire to leave City on the basis that, having failed to learn English or adapt to the culture, he wanted to move closer to home. With his family now having relocated, though, he is seemingly ready to join another Premier League side.

"His family are now living in England, so he's quite happy and settled," advisor Kia Joorabchian told the Daily Mirror. "He had some problems about being away from them before, but they are with him now and everything is fine. He'd be happy to move to another Premier League club."

Championship side West Ham United, who brought Tevez to England in 2006, have offered to take the striker on loan until the January window but that move looks doomed to failure. "He loves West Ham, but that's not going to happen," Joorabchian said.

As the Professional Footballers' Association refused to sanction City's four-week fine, Joorabchian feels the player has been vindicated in his stance that he did not refuse to play at Bayern.

"This week, the Professional Footballers' Association rejected the claim that he had refused to come on as a substitute," Joorabchian said. "That has changed everything and clarified what actually happened.

"Carlos was desperate to play. He loves to play the game and always wants to play. Having to sit on the sidelines is very tough for him. It's not easy for him at the moment, but, in the January transfer window, City will want to get him out either on a permanent basis or on loan. We'll have to wait and see what happens."
