Pjanic hopeful of 'miracle'

Bosnia and Herzegovina playmaker Miralem Pjanic is hoping for a "miracle in Paris" as his nation aims to claim automatic qualification for Euro 2012.

Bosnia travel to Stade de France on Tuesday night aware that only a scalp of Les Bleus, who need just a point, will be enough to secure top spot in Group D.

Pjanic, who left Ligue 1 in the summer after he joined Roma from Lyon, is anticipating a fierce test against Laurent Blanc's men, but is hopeful of recording an upset.

He said: "We have nothing to lose. France are favourites and they won't surrender their superiority easily, but with a little bit of luck we can maybe pull off a miracle in Paris."

Bosnia captain Emir Spahic has echoed Pjanic's comments, the Sevilla defender admitting that luck will likely have to be on his county's side as they look to continue the momentum built with a 5-0 defeat of Luxembourg last week.

Spahic said: "We will travel to Paris in a relieved frame of mind because we have already achieved our initial goal. France are a top team and even if they are missing some players they will be strong. But we could beat them with a bit of luck. It's not impossible."
