Kansas City go top of the East

Sporting Kansas City moved to the top of Major League Soccer's Eastern Conference with a 1-1 draw at home to Philadelphia Union.

Omar Bravo fired Sporting in front after 56 minutes but the visitors drew level just seven minutes later through Sebastien Le Toux.

Bravo scored his team-leading ninth goal of the season when he cut in from the right side to take Kei Kamara's long cross and buried a right-footed shot from close range.

Kansas City's lead lasted only until the 63rd minute, as Philadelphia's Michael Farfan won a loose ball from Seth Sinovic and passed back to Le Toux, who scored with his left foot from 6 yards.

The result was enough to move Sporting to the top of the standings, level on points with Columbus Crew but with a better goal difference.
