Neymar again denies Real deal in place
Neymar has reiterated his desire to stay at Santos in the immediate future, rejecting reports that he passed a secret medical with Real Madrid in a Sao Paulo hospital on Friday.
Despite several denials from both Neymar and his agent, rumours abound that the talented forward has already agreed to move to Europe in the January transfer window.
And reports in the Brazilian press on Friday claimed that Neymar, 19, was due to sign a contract with Real on Monday after passing a medical in Sao Paulo.
But the Brazil international insisted the reports are pure fallacy and that he was merely in hospital "to solve a personal problem", while also pledging to stay at Santos to play in their centenary year in 2012.
"I have been sold like 30 times," Neymar is quoted as saying by Lancenet. "There is no truth to that, I am a player of Santos and I will stay here to play at the club's centenary. That is all speculation, there is no deal. I went to the hospital to solve a personal problem."
Neymar's agent is his father and the striker, capped 12 times for Brazil, re-iterated any decision to move would be made in conjunction with his family.
''The final word was always been for me and my father,'' he said. ''You know very well that my father takes care of my career. He takes care of everything and nothing has changed.
''My decision is that I'm very happy here and that's where I want to be. Santos is a club that I love and it has been agreed between my father, me and the president that I will not leave in the next transfer window.''
Later the teenager stated to reporters during a press conference: "As long as I am happy here I have no reason to leave. My happiness is what matters. I will not leave in the next window. If it is up to me, I will stay at Santos for a long time yet.
"If you look at the Real Madrid team, or Barcelona's, they are all superstars. In neither of the two sides would I get many opportunities.''
