Barton mocks Henry after win

Joey Barton has labelled Wolves midfielder Karl Henry a "Sunday league player" after QPR's 3-0 victory at Molineux.

Henry memorably made a series of strong challenges on Barton when Wolves drew 1-1 with Newcastle United at Molineux last season and afterwards Henry accused the midfielder of "whining".

Barton enjoyed revenge when Newcastle beat Wolves 4-1 at St James' Park in April and, after this latest win, he wrote on Twitter: "I bet u Kelvin [sic] Henry feels like an idiot again today. He should just keep his trap firmly shut. #sundayleagueplayer"

He later added: "Love your enemies because they bring out the best in you. #Nietzsche"

Barton also mocked Wolves boss Mick McCarthy after he was quoted on Saturday as saying every team "from Kuwait to Kuala Lumpur to Kansas City to Wolverhampton" had been offered the midfielder when he was placed on the transfer list at Newcastle.

Barton wrote: "'Wolves snubbed me' I read in this morning papers hahahahahaha....don't know what Mick's been smoking......"
