Guidetti makes Feyenoord move

Manchester City striker John Guidetti has completed a loan move to Feyenoord for the rest of the season, the Premier League club have confirmed.

The deal brings to a close a confusing summer regarding the future of the 19-year-old Sweden Under-21 international, who initially sought to leave City when his contract expired at the end of last season.

He appeared close to joining FC Twente, apparently signing a deal with the Eredivisie club only for the move to collapse, and he instead returned to City where he signed a new three-year deal and joined up with the summer tour of North America.

Guidetti has previously had loan spells with IF Brommapojkarna and Burnley, and he scored 17 goals for City's second string last season.

He has one senior appearance to his name, coming against West Brom in the Carling Cup last September.
